Dear researchers!
I have rasters, one with zero values and other with 1 both of them are overlying and pertain same pixel size but have have different extant.
Can someone please help me how to sum these two?
if there is a code for ArcGIS or R please share?

You will get a better answer if you posted the files ( or a link ), or even just the raster's metadata, or at minimal a screen capture. 'Cell Size' and 'Extent' is not the only considerations. If the rasters have different projections, the cell size could seem the same, but have different aspect ratios relative to one another, also, they could be rotated relative to one another, or one might be cell corner versus cell center based. There is a big difference between to raster's boundary polygon, the envelope, and the xmin, xmax, ymin, ymax extents (especially if it is rotated ). You don't mention if each raster AND the model are in the same spatial reference system. The raster operations can only give results for the overlapping intersection area, the other parts will result in null, zero, or no data which has to be specified. If the two rasters are do not share the same underlying grid, and with the model as a whole, the results can be skewed, especially with binary data. Binary data has another consideration if this is the case, how much of the cell-by-cell comparison dictates what result in the operation? If one cell is zero, another is one, if they overlap only five percent,when you add them, do you get one or zero? So, sometimes, it is expedient to resample easch into a common CRS and then operate on those.
