Suitable technique for applying stochastic pattern on thin flexible films for digital image correlation (DIC) measurements?

Thin and flexible polymer films can be mechanically and chemically effected by paint from stochastic pattern during a DIC study. Any remark on the issue will be thankfully appreciated.
