For designing a sensor to be embedded in concrete, which substrates (for example any polymer such as PVC etc) are suitable for long-term measurements. Also please mention if there is any specific PCB material which is suitable to be embedded in concrete.
Here are some consideration, let me know if they are suitable:
- PVC polymer
- Ceramic + epoxy based PCB substrate
- Polyimide based flexible PCB substrate
- PTFE (Teflon) based PCB substrate
If someone has experience with embedded sensors in concrete for durability monitoring, please mention the choice of material suitable for this sensor.
