I am writing my master dissertation and confused which strategy or methodology I should apply. It is a qualitative research and the methods were already predefined with my supervisor (semi-structured interviews and mayring content analysis). Is there any suitable methodology?
I don't know why you need a methodology or a strategy if you already have your methods chosen. The whole point of having a broader framework is to help you match your goals and your purposes, so that has already been done.
Mutaz - David is correct. Methodology should drive methods - not the other way around. If you had to add a 'methodological' label to your design - you could call is qualitative descriptive and/or qualitative exploratory but, even then, they have to be justified.
Maybe your question is more about how to do your interviews and analysis as a practical matter. You do not tell us what your topic is or how you plan to identify people to be interviewed, so it is hard to comment.
First, methodologies should have some kind of innovation that is not seen in earlier works. Second, there should be some kind of improvement vis-a-vis the state-of-the-art (preferably there should be some metric to measure this objectively). In fact these two points are connected : innovation in the approach translates to improved results. Sometimes there is a third point : the improved results should have universal implications i.e. the improvements should not be dependent on some specific dataset.

What justifies the use of a method is how well it matches your research questions and goals. I recommend concentrating on that, rather than getting off track with distractions about abstract issues like methodology.
