I want to use some come common insecticides/acaricides for management of sucking pests on tomato and other vegetables in greenhouse by application through fogging (thermal/cold).
I was wondering if common formulations are suitable for fogging ?
Thermal fogging is mostly used for killing vectors such as mosquitoes when they are active and fly outside to look for food. Yes this technique can be successfully used for greenhouses vectors also, but environmental safety is required to be looked into.
Many papers deal with the use of plant-based biopesticides in protection against insects and mites, especially the use of essential oils. As we know, the essential oils under the effect of high temperatures begin to release their smells that can act as fumigants. This is also the principle of electrical outlets used with a liquid insecticide against mosquitoes. So here's the idea for your question.
You can see if some insecticides or acaricides marketed locally can release their odors under the effect of a heat source (resistance, etc.)
