I am looking for suggestions of software or otherwise to conduct content analysis of social media posts. The results of content analysis will be triangulated by interviews. I plan to use WhatsApp and Facebook as social media. Participants would be from India.
MAXQDA would be a good tool to try out for open coding of qualitative datasets.

I have used this extensively and find it excellent for initial explorations of text (although I know some reading this will disapprove of this approach for being a little too mechanical). The tool is very easy to use and provides a range of analyses of your text data which can then be followed up manually.
