Can someone please recommend some research article(s) in which interpretive method has been used. I need some article which reflects how to construct meaning what your respondent said. NOT just paraphrasing of what respondent talked.
You need to use emic perspectivization . Most often, the researcher, as you have rightly observed, paraphrases the respondents' data., which is creating meaning based an etic approach. In point of fact, to get the best results, we need to use plausible rather than authoritative interpretation. In this condition, the interpretation of data is accomplished by the presence of the respondents and their cooperation with the researcher. The following link can hopefully shed light on the problem:
Braun, V., & Clarke, V. (2006). Using thematic analysis in psychology. Qualitative research in psychology, 3(2), 77-101.
Although it is in the area of Psychology it is also applicable in other disciplines. My area of research is in Higher Education, and I found it very useful for both categorising and analysing my qualitative data.
