I'm new in abaqus, i'm working on a 2D problem with tree different material, temperature in bottom of model are constant (77k) and bottom is fixed, step are coupled temp and displacement but after Running job, stress change suddenly in the boundary of material and i don't know why. please help me
If the layers have different boundary conditions and/or different material properties, a jump in the displacement or stresses should be expected.
You should check whether the vertical displacements and the correct stress and strain components are continuous.
It will probaly also help if you analytically estimate the deformation and stresses using a simple model of the coating.
