In regions with semi-cold winters (average minimum temperature of -3.5°C during the coldest month), is it advisable to apply 20% of the total nitrogen fertilizer requirement per hectare to autumn-sown wheat and barley (November planting) during autumn/winter via irrigation, reserving the remaining nitrogen for spring applications?
