I'm looking for studies (papers, book chapters, reports) that deal with the responses of freshwater biota (fish, macroinvertebrates and aquatic/riparian vegetation) to hydrological extremes (floods and droughts). More precisely, I'm searching for studies that are well defined in place (a European river reach) and time (flood or drought event, preferably occurring between 1961 and 2005). It is necessary that such studies describe the negative/positive responses of biota to hydrological perturbations. Non-English language publications are also welcome.
