Hello,

we use lung, mouse and human, which we store after fixation in pbs with a some PS in the fridge. Stainings turned out fine even after about 6 weeks of storage for tissue pieces and 8 weeks for already cut vibratome slices.

I never tried to store them longer though so I can't tell you what is the maximum.

I had to stain rat tissues stored in PFA from 10 years ago. They turned out fine. Im not sure about the max time in PBS.
