I have used the "QMAP" (Quantile Mapping) package in R for downscaling of future rainfall and temperature projections. I have an observed data period of 1980-2010 and I want to use it for downscaling the future variables. But when I run the package, the output data of the package has the same characteristics as the observed data. Do you know how can I apply "QMAP" to downscale future data with my observed data?

I assume that you used the observed data for the period 1980-2010 and GCM output for the same period to estimate the parameters of your downscaling method. Then you have to use the same parameter settings to downscale GCM output for future periods (2030 and 2080) to obtain downscaled precipitation and temperature for different RCPs. I assume you will use RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 for both 2030 and 2080?
In addition, you might check the climate signal as projected by the GCM(s) by comparing precipitation and temperature for the future periods (2030 and 2080) with the baseline period. The projected precipitation and temperature changes by the GCM(s) should come back in the downscaled changes (at least the main patterns).

You are right. I think I had made a mistake. I missed one step. As you mentioned, I have to estimated the downscaling parameters by my observed data and the historical data of GCMs, first. Then I have to apply the parameters to the future projections.
But in QMAP package, what is the relevant function for the second step (I mean to apply the downscaling parameters to future projections)? can you help?
I have no experience with QMAP, but I assume there is a user manual or help function which can be used?
