need help regarding the statistical analysis, i have been using SPSS for the same. need to know which post anova test should be used. the experiment detail is: effect of salinity on plant (1 variety), no. of treatments is 5 (five different concentrations of salt stress is given to plant), the reading (biochemical parameters) was taken after every 24 hrs for 6 days. i have done one way anova, now i need to know which post anova test should be done for the experiments.
In general use the Tukey post-hoc procedure for pairwise comparisons. If variances are unequal, use the Games-Howell. For comparing each group against a control, use Dunnett's.
If you have multiple readings from the same plant, you have a repeated measures analysis. You will need to look in the MANOVA section for proper analysis.
