Stacking fault energy of Aluminum?

Stacking fault energy (SFE) of Aluminum is much higher than copper. But if Aluminum is added to pure copper, the SFE of the Copper alloy decreases. What is the reason for this contrasting behavior? Thanks, Faiyaz
