I was trying to find some data about stability of the phosphinothricin on high temperatures, but I couldn't find much. I am talking about phosphinothricin used for preparation of plates for plant selection. I know it is filter sterilized and added after autoclaving, but I wonder if it behaves as antibiotics, so it is the best to add it in the medium when the temperature is around 55 degres, or it can handle even higher temperatures?

You meant the herbicide 'Glufosinate' ammonium for bar gene selection?
If the temperature is too high, the active ingredient might lost its activity. But if you are wondering whether it has lost its activity in your prepared plates, you can always include a control group (selection of wild-type, non-transgenic) as a reference.
