Hi all! I would really appreciate your help. Hopefully this is just a quick question to confirm or deny my thought process.
I've been instructed to use PROCESS for my upcoming mediation analysis, however, from research and tinkering with PROCESS I can only see that the Macro accepts observed variables only. I am sure I am correctly understanding this, but just in case I have missed an obvious and gaping technique here, I thought it was worth asking the community.
PROCESS is usually not necessary to evaluate the regression parameters.You may want to use SPSS's REGRESSION- results are identical to SEM.
Amanda Ripley, taking the sum or average of a set of variables/items does not make your construct/factor a latent variable. It will still be an observed/manifest variable.
