I am intended to use Spirulina algae for gasification. How does it can be good for syngas production?
I do not know how efficient it will be, but if you have a range for your operational temperature, I would suggest to start from a low temperature in order to avoid agglomeration problems. Algae tends to have a very high ash content and this makes it challenging for thermochemical conversions. Check for agglomeration indicators, such as (Na + K)/ (2S + Cl) > 1.
Dear Dr. Deorgios thank you so much for your suggestions. Actually I am concern about it's "Protein" content. Being rich in protein content >60%, how it will contribute to gasification or how this big portion of protein would be helpful for hydrogen production via gasification???
spirulina has more medicinal value ,i don't recommend for gasification
