In my clarias hatchery, I have 5 day old larvaes, they are attached by parasite. On microscope I could see these parasites (see video) but I do not name, how to prevent, traitement and the origin.
After a documentation and consulation of other researchers: According to the movement of the organisms on the video I would say that it is about ciliates.Ciliates may indeed be harmful to various crops, but they can also be an indication that the system is rich in bacteria. It is in fact likely that the ciliates are bacteriores (but can still negatively impact the cultures by their sometimes toxic exudates), the parasitic ciliates being quite rare. thank you very much
if it is ciliate, it should have significant hair-like organelles (cilia) around body. Suppose you check this first. Then conclude if it is ciliate or not.
