I have DSC results of 6 different samples. These samples are of the same material Fe-15Mn-10Cr-8Ni-4Si (weight %). The difference is because of the quenching done at different temperatures and durations. Can the slopes of DSC curves help to understand something about their behaviour? Actually, the DSC results are starting from 50oC due to unavailability of nitrogen cooling. The curve goes up to 400oC but there is no peak. There is just only one peak in the start of the curve which looks like the fluctuations in the apparatus in the start. Austenite start temperature of the material was about 70oC before quenching. Can we say that the transformation occured before 50oC as there is no peak between 50oC and 400oC.
