I want to simulate a multi gNB multi UE scenario in n78 band (C bands 3.5 Ghz) which will be deployed in ASEAN region. How can I model various parameters like UE mobility, buildings, LOS/NLOS, gNB height, weather effects etc in NetSim?
Yes this should be possible. After you create the network topology, you can choose the operating band under Carrier configuration, Mobility is available under UE parameters, while LOS/NLOS options are available under gNB - chnanel characteristics
Buildings can be also be configured in NetSim from the UI itself through the building icon in the menu. This is for indoor vs outdoor propagation and for outdoor to indoor RF losses.
You will need to run multiple simulations with combinations of a) UE at different distances from the gNB and b) UE states in LOS/NLOS. If you want maximum throughput then you should generate sufficient traffic (application) such that the gNB is under “saturation” or “full buffer” condition.
Ashwini Bhat Yes there is support for massive MIMO in NetSim with upto 128 (T/R) antennas in the gNB and 16 antennas in the UE. One white paper also explain the implementation to some extent in https://tetcos.com/5G-white-papers.html
