Since 2016 when the BREXIT movement and the USEXIT movement came along all normal democratic based/majority view based institutions, local and internationa, are a threat to their persistence, yet countries under normal democratic outcome/majority view rules seem to still not be able to see this.

-

Asking the Brexit or the Usexit, who are by nature and necessity protectionists, to save a normal democratic outcome based institution, local or international, that is based on free market thinking is like asking a lion not to eat the pray when in front of him.

-

For example, the WTO is in difficulties right now that came along because of movements like Brexit and Usexit have acted or not acted as expected since 2016 to make it be as it is as Trumpconomics theory suggest .

-

Therefore, having normal democratic outcome countries asking movements under extreme democratic outcomes to take action to save a free market institution like the WTO is technically a dead expectation such as for example Canada asking the USA to save the WTO from chaos, an expectation contrary to Trumpconomics based expectations (https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/canada-urges-u-s-to-save-wto-from-chaos-1.5369843 ).

-

So the question, Should the WTO expect help from extreme democratic outcomes like BREXIT and USEXIT to persist as a free market supporting institution?

-

I think “No”, what do you think?
