Caries traditionally has been primarily treated by removing using a rotating bur and restoring the produced hole with a suitable restorative material. Evidence suggests that digging and filling not only makes the under-treatment tooth weaker but also fails to stop secondary caries.Contrarily, sealing of caries as well, has been found effective to stop caries progression.
