So I performed the qPCR and when I analyze the results using delta delta ct method, in some control groups I can't get the result of 1, which might be 1.1 or 1.2 or even 3, can anyone explain it for me?
if you calibrate (divide) all your samples (control or not) by the mean of 2-dtCq of control group, necessarilly you will get 1 +/- standard deviation as result for the calibrated control group.
Make a excel experience: 1) create a group of values, 2)take the group mean, 3) create a new column dividing all values by the group mean and 4) calculate the new mean of this colum. it will be one!
