We all staring at a computer screen, phone or other digital device these days. And it's causing a serious problem called digital eye strain. What are your tips to alleviate such digital eye strain?
When doing work on computer continuously or posting on mobile or looking at television, a person eyes may get strained. Hence relaxation for eyes are compulsory. For this, one has to take rest a while, move here and there and continue to work. If one has to do continue and is unavoidable, protection screens can be attached to original screen and the strain on eye can be reduced to certain extent.
My advice is not to read for long periods of time and move the eyelid up and down every hour and take a break for several minutes and the use of medical goggles protect against radiation emitted by digital devices.
Use proper lighting., Minimize glare. Adjust your computer display settings. Blink more often. Exercise your eyes. Take frequent breaks. Modify your workstation. Consider computer glasses.
Reduce exterior light by closing window shades or blinds. Reduce interior lighting by using fewer light bulbs lower intensity bulbs and tubes. If possible, position your computer so windows are to your side, instead of being in front of or behind your screen.
If possible, avoid working under bright fluorescent lights. Instead use a floor or table lamp that provides softer, indirect lighting.
