I think the question and project needs clarification. Those are not the dame thing. In the description, there is mention of 2 types of milk, where one has, "wider immunity spectrum," than the other. In sum, there are several statement here that do not follow logically for proceeding with a major research project. Dairying is the important component of the mixed farming system in Indian context. Therefore, cattle rearing add to the farm economy as well as the National agricultural economy of India. At the same time, the cattle population in India largely dominated by the indigenous breeds with relatively lesser productivity as compared to cross-breds. Adding further, it is only indigenous cattle whose milk quality has been recently tested for A2 type. Therefore, the question raised demands the opinions on developing the large magnitude of local breeds for production efficiency which may have greater bearing on the cattle keepers vis-a-vis giving emphasis on crossbreds........ Any scholar interested in arguing for this point need some sound backup of Indian cattle rearing scenario ......
Therefore, you want to promote breeding of indegenous cattle even though it already dominates-- does this mean you wnat to see this as the only type of cattle --and not using ANY cross-breeds? And the way to promote it is to show that indigenous cattle produce A2 type milk which has been demonstrated to be higher quality and "wider immunity spectrum"? Do I understand this now? yes you are correct to maximum extent. As the A2 milk are suppose to fetch the higher market price than other types, definitely it will add to the pocket of the dairy farmers and ultimately improving their economy . I suppose now, it must be clear to you ....
I think so far you are only speculating. Some research is required to establish whether type A2 milk is improving the economy of an Indian farmer or not. There are other factors to consider apart from nutritional quality of milk, such as milk taste, colour, texture, which may influence consumers' preference and choice. So I think at the moment, you can only hypothesize, and you will have to conduct some research to test your hypothesis before you embark on your breeding project.
