SEM service contract?

Greetings all,

My company recently acquired a Amray 3300 SEM (old I know). The seller did a great job rebuilding the machine and adding additional capabilities. My only concern is the price they quoted me for a service contract -it's ten percent of the price of the machine. Does anyone know of another company that can offer a service contract for this machine? Please let me know. I am US based by the way.

10% for all inclusive (parts, labor) service contract is not too high price, especially if service is performed by the same people who rebuilt the microscope. May be you can find a cheaper alternative, but take in account response time and availability of spare part to service organization and if a field emission source is covered by contract (it can be an expensive option).
