Hello fellows,

As I am new in the T-DNA area, maybe this is a very silly question; however I am very confused because of that. I have T-DNA lines from SALK and have already sowed them in culture media + kanamycin for selecting the transgenic plants. I also have lines from Cold Spring Harbor (CSHL_... or single T-DNA lines from Ken Feldmann) and after reading literature I found they (maybe) must be selected by kanamycin + naphtalene acetamide (NAM). My question is: should these lines be selected with kan + nam BY ME or they were already selected (at least for nam) by the providers? I am very confused whether the nam selection is part of the generation of the lines by the providers or if it is part of the selection step made by us.

Cheers,
