My name is Wassem Naguib, Research Assistant at Sugar Crops Research Institute, Egypt. I obtained my M.Sc. from Division of Plant Physiology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India, in December 2019. I worked on "Role of sugar metabolism in imparting salinity tolerance in Sugar beet" and found that the salt tolerant sugar beet variety translocated more 14C photosynthate to the developing leaves for higher leaf biomass production and raffinose accumulation in leaves had a role in imparting salinity stress tolerance. I am in the process of communicating my findings for publication in high impact journals.
In this period I worked in the field and in the laboratory too, I learned many Technics that can help me in my coming research life.
Simultaneously, I am also looking for a PhD fellowship in Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, crop modeling or any thing related to Agronomy to increase my learning skills. I am highly motivated to learn in these related disciplines to address research areas of high priority.
I am looking forward if you have any opportunity for a PhD position in your lab covered with a scholarship, I would be grateful for giving me the chance to work under your supervision and I promised you that you will be happy to take me as your student as I will work very hard with creativity to make you proud.
Thank you 😊
