I encountered the software while searching for computerised morphometric tools based on images. The software is easy to install and the article published on its making is quiet thorough, but I don't seem to be able to use its functions to establish the pixels that represent the seed in the image ("Foreground and "Background" functions).
currently using MatLab R2022b.
Update- Also tried using MatLab 2020a (the version it was published on) with no luck.

I just now had a breakthrough with the software and it works great!
Seems like the standalone version works better the MatLab based one, all I needed was to install the "MatLab Runtime" 9.8 version instead of the latest one- After that everything ran smoothly.
When I was able to run the "Foreground" and the "Background" commands it didn't change the parameters but the "GraphCut" image was very accurate, as well are the results.
Attached is a "masked" image, produced by the software itself.
