An increasing number number of papers are showing the positive effects (either potential or already tested) of seaweed/algae on ruminants production.

However, thinking about the carbon footprint of the whole process (extraction, shipment, drying, ... farm gate), it is a sustainable feedstuff?

Is there any paper assessing its footprint (LCA)?
