- business management
- innovation
- entrepreneurship
- banking
- digitalization
Are there any websites where I can get a complete overview of conferences in 2020?
Unfortunately, I can only find a few pages online that are helpful.

British Academy of Management
Irish Academy of Management
ANZAM
etc.
They all have excellent reputation and variety of rich feedback you can get by presenting papers in these conferences.

I would agree that lists are probably not the best way of finding a conference.
Maybe it would help if you tried to answer some questions for yourself, such as:
- What do you want to get out of the conference?
- What is the specific audience you are trying to reach?
Attending a conference, especially if you want to make the best of it, can involve a lot of preparation, so I would choose carefully.
Participating in research conferences is not a bad idea at all. However, you need to be very selective in choosing the conferences that are best for you and your research.

Just for clarity of the discussion: in Eastern Europe being published in Scopus-listed journals (or WoS) became a requirement for the PhD. For this reason, many academics look for conferences which are listed in Scopus. 2 comments in this regard:
1. By an academic conference, it is not about being published but about:
- meeting your colleagues
- finding out the latest trends in research
- presenting own early work to get feedback before sending a paper to a peer-reviewed journal.
Consequently, conferences are very seldom accepted as publications. However (!here comes the nice part):
2. Some conferences have stronger requirements with regard to their papers and produce proceedings which are ranked. This depends on the country too. For instance, AOM OCIS division papers are ranked in the Netherlands, but not in Germany. As far as I know, AOM publishes only abstracts, therefore, they might not be in Scopus. However, Information Systems conferences (ICIS, ECIS, HICCS, AMCIS etc.) are very often ranked in most countries. These conferences have their proceedings which appear similar to a journal. The same applies to the BPM conference. Papers from the conference are published in an accompanying journal Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing. This journal is ranked and is in Scopus.
Moreover, the rule of thumb is that if you change/add about 1/3 of new materials, you can publish this work later in a journal. ECIS and ICIS position themselves as "launch pads" for future strong journal articles. I even had a case when my paper was rejected since it was "too mature" for a conference and should have been submitted to a journal.
Advice:
1. Look by the German list of VHB ( https://vhbonline.org/ ) or by Scimago ( https://www.scimagojr.com/ ) Search for the words "conference" or "proceedings". It is highly likely that the proceedings listed there will also be listed in Scopus.
2. Take into account that getting a paper accepted by these conferences is a task more complex than getting your paper accepted by most other conferences. The competition is also higher.
3. The paper will be "published" only if the author personally appears by the conference. so, check your budget - AMCIS is usually in the US.
4. Though it is a good way to go (trying your papers out by a conference, especially the ranked one), consider conferences as a place to meet people rather than get points in Scopus.
