The problem that I usually face that there are some journals that claim on their sites that they are Scopus-indexed while they aren't. On the other hand, other journals hide the facts by saying some tricks like Scopus (2020) or Scopus (2013).

For instance, one of the journals says at its main portal that it is indexed in Scopus. But I don't find it on the Scopus list. I have written many emails to them, they always ignoring me!

Rd Padmavathy It may be difficult to apportion the blame to anyone. Scopus will only pick published articles in journals listed with them or rather published before such journals are discontinued. According to the latest list (see above or enclosed file) and https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21000196006 "Biochemical and Cellular Archives" is now discontinued in Scopus. Most likely because of the suspicious increase in accepted papers in 2019 and especially 2021.

Be careful with this one. The journal “Zhonghua yixue yichuanxue zazhi” also known as “Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics” with ISSN nr. 1003-9406 has the following homepage

The website http://www.zhyxycx.life/index.php/cjmg is the hijacked version and thus fake. See also https://retractionwatch.com/the-retraction-watch-hijacked-journal-checker/

The real journal is a subscription-based journal and relatively small, for these types of journals it is not unusual that they provide the necessary meta-data to Scopus only once a year and therefor the coverage info ‘walks somewhat behind’.

Does anybody have a July 2022 Scopus list?

Could u confirm the date on which journal of positive school psychology will be considered delisted by HEC since they inducted it in X category in June 2022.

Be extremely careful with this journal. It is almost 100% certain an example of a hijacked journal and certainly a journal with (too many) issues, see my reply of October 24th, 2022 in the following discussion here on RG: https://www.researchgate.net/post/All-the-papers-or-articles-published-in-Scopus-Indexed-journals-will-be-in-Scopus-Database-or-not

Back to your question, the ‘journal’ states (https://www.journalppw.com/index.php/jpsp ) “Journal of Positive School Psychology is now indexed in HEC X Section Social Science” but if you click on the link https://hjrs.hec.gov.pk/index.php?r=site%2Fresult&id=993342#journal_result it mentions category Y and a Scopus index. Both are wrong and I presume it can all be explained by the fact that the HEC Journal Recognition System published the list of HEC “International Recognised Journals” which is only updated till June 30, 2020 https://www.hec.gov.pk/english/services/faculty/journals/Pages/default.aspx

If possible, avoid this one.

The publisher behind the journal “Advances in Bioresearch” is “Society of Education” and this publisher is included in the Beall’s list of potential predatory publishers (https://beallslist.net ). This is a red flag but there are more:

-Indexing info (https://soeagra.com/abstract.html ) is full of so-called misleading metrics such as CiteFactor, GIF, ESJI (https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ ) often used by predatory journals/publishers

-Numerous claims are false (No DOAJ member, UGC approved is nonsense since this list is now called UGC Care (not listed…))

-At least I was unable to find the APC while clicking on the Fellow Membership info they mention “Fellow Members received 20% discount on publication fees.”

-Mentioning PubMed is misleading (when you click on the link you can see that they are not included)

-Contact info makes use of Yahoo mail and editor use Gmail

-In the author guide they make the following statement “The authors or conference organizers or a third party must always pay $200 per page manuscript processing charges as withdrawal penalty to the publisher even if the withdrawal is permitted.”...

Personally, I would say: avoid.

Journal of Survey in Fisheries Sciences was discontinued but still mentioned in the list. Is it really discontinued??? Which list is is correct??

If you refer to SCImago then indeed the message discontinued is missing: https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=21100905326&tip=sid&clean=0 The problem is that the database of SCImago is updated only once a year (somewhere round June/July). Meaning that every change after that moment is not reflected in the SCImago list and will only become visible next year somewhere round June/July.

The best (and most reliable) lists are:
