I have been observing a decrease in signal intensity in QTRAP 4000 (attached to Shimadzu Nexera 30 series LC), most days the first run of the day has a signal intensity of e6-e7, then throughout the day, signal intensity drops to e3. Sometimes signal intensity is lost completely. There appears to be no contamination and the source has been cleaned. A few months ago, we cleaned Q0/quadrupoles, so I do not believe that is the issue either.
With this, recently the instrument gives a 'source ion path electronics: off' message even when the source is connected. Also I have noticed that the source temperature will drop throughout a queue and give the 'Not at setpoint' message and not heat up.
Has anyone experienced this error before or something similar? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!
It looks like the hardware issue and you need to call the service engineer or Sciex.
It look like either contamination issue or electronic.
So you can do standard cleaning procedure.
In case of electronic you have to check Detector voltage too.

we tried,,before to reset the electrical board which in right side
but work for a few weeks then the issue back!
