Hello researchers
I hope you people are the best in your health and doing well in your areas. Currently, I am working on the debris flow impact on the exposed pipeline using experimental and numerical modelling. I have a few questions in my mind while relating the flume experiment to actual field conditions.
1. How we scale down the channelised debris flow in terms of the geometric and dynamic similarity?r
2. I reviewed some literature but unable to find the logic behind the dimensioning of the flume in the lab?
3. How can we reduce the particle size of debris flow in the flume as compared to boulder and gravel in actual field condition? as I'm planning to do the granular debris analysis in the lab
4. How we reduced the actual slope of the terrain in our flume experiment?
5. Which CFD platform is suitable for multiphase debris flow using herskely Burkly or power law of rheology? and how we can simulate in the 3D domain.
Your valuable suggestion is highly appreciated
