I would use all 183 students. Clearly there are more than 183 students out there which is likely what you want to get conclusions about not the 183 alone.. I suggest that you see Wayne W Daniel, Applied Nonparametric Statistics, 2nd ed., p. 3ff for advice. Best, D. Booth
