I have been trying with differents methods to isolate and concentrate RNA from Rubus fruits, with Invitrogen and Qiagen (Trizol, double extraction, concentration 3 times...). I had correct concentration (200ng/microliter, 260/280 >1.8 and a RIN number > 8, but I can't increase the 260/230 higher than 1.1. I don´t know what I could do to increase the 260/230 index, because of the material is fruit, and should have a more sugars or polyphenols than leafs. I don't know what I could do, What do you recommend? Do you know another kit or strategy to clean better the RNA?
The RNA you got is probably of sufficient quality to synthesize cDNA if that's your goal. Why do you want to increase the 260/230 index? Attached is our blueberry RNA protocol.

Thank you very much, I need to increase the 260/230 beacuse I like to do an RNAseq, and a low 260/230 means that I still have polysaccarides and polyphenols.. tomorrow I will try with the following protocol ¿What do you think about it?:
