Hi Sir, Parkinson's disease and stroke are two distinct medical conditions, but they can sometimes be associated with each other. While having Parkinson's disease does not directly increase the risk of stroke, there are certain factors that may contribute to a higher risk of stroke in individuals with Parkinson's disease. Similarly, having a stroke does not cause Parkinson's disease, but it can lead to the development of secondary parkinsonism in some cases.
In general Individuals with Parkinson's disease may have a slightly increased risk of stroke compared to the general population.
On other han, Stroke can occasionally lead to a movement disorder known as secondary parkinsonism or vascular parkinsonism.

Regarding Secondary parkinsonism, or as mentioned above as vascular parkinsonism, also can be termed as arteriosclerotic parkinsonism, all term refers to a movement disorder that resembles Parkinson's disease but is caused by damage to specific areas of the brain (basal ganglia, substantia nigra) due to a stroke or other cerebrovascular disease since it may lead to disruption to the blood supply in these areas, leading to the development of parkinsonian symptoms.
So the symptoms of secondary parkinsonism are similar to those seen in Parkinson's disease, such as Tremors, Bradykinesia, Postural instability …. els
However Secondary parkinsonism following a stroke can often be distinguished from idiopathic Parkinson's disease based on certain features, as 2nd Parkinsonism usually have a sudden onset, whereas Parkinson's disease typically has a more gradual progression. additionally Individuals with 2 nd parkinsonism may also have other neurological deficits related to the stroke, such as weakness or sensory changes on one side of the body. also the 2nd parkinsonism may not respond well or may show only a partial response to medications used to treat Parkinson's disease, such as levodopa.

Yes, there are animal models that mimic aspects of vascular parkinsonism or secondary parkinsonism following a stroke. However, it's important to recognize that animal models only provide a partial representation of human disease and may not fully capture all aspects of vascular parkinsonism or the complex interactions between vascular and neurodegenerative processes.
Rodents, such as rats and mice, are commonly used in preclinical research.
Also, Non-human primates, such as macaques, I see some research used them to study various aspects of Parkinson's disease.
