I'm looking to overexpress a gene in rice. This gene is root-specific and a general promoter (e.g. ZmUBI) would OX in all tissues giving rise to several pleiotropic effects. Therefore, I was planning to use a root-specific promoter to drive its expression (preferentially high expression). Does anyone have a suggestion? I've looked in the literature and the RCc3 seems to be a good option...does anyone have experience?
