I was wondering if anyone of you have submitted your work to Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems? Do you know typically how long it takes to review a paper in that journal?
Hi, Rahul, I think you can download some papers from this journal, from which you should find the submitted date and accepted date, then you can calculate the average review period.
Actually, I haven't yet submitted my paper to Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems.
However, typically a manuscript will be reviewed within several months. Should the reviewers' reports contradict one another or a report is unduly delayed, a further expert opinion will be sought. If necessary, revised manuscripts may be returned to the initial reviewers, usually within 30 days. Reviewers and Editors may request more than one revision of a manuscript, and alternative reviewers may also be invited to review the manuscript at any time. Moreover, this journal uses ScholarOne Manuscripts to peer review manuscript submissions, so you can observe the status of your paper on this system after the submission.
The median duration between submission and acceptance of the published papers in the last complete Issue (Volume 21, Issue 4) seems to be 521.5 days or about 1.5 years with not a single one being less than a year. I have submitted a paper there but am currently wondering if retracting and submitting to another journal might be faster in the end...
