My aim is to research a topic that would ease the life of investors and students in future. As you may know that logistics is a vast field may includes shipping, warehousing, transportation or infrastructure developments such as ports or logistics parks. However, i'm unable to find a research whereby it covers that what type of cost components are involve in each type of investment, the ROI, pay back and the challenges to watch out.
Appreciates if you may know the research in this area and if yes please share the references?

I have some doubts to look only at a financial kpi to evaluate an investment. Perhaps have a look a more multiple value scorecard. Have a look at iirc or the 6 capitals book of gleeson white. In the 2020 annual report of Philips this model has been adapted, perhaps it might inspire you! Good luck with your research!
