Hi, everyone! Today I’d like to share a few thoughts about something that shows up in every workplace, and yet, sometimes feels hard to find — respect. No matter the role, the title, or the task, people come to work bringing more than just skills. They bring energy, experience, culture, values, and a wealth of heart. And what most people want isn’t a fancy office, constant praise, or even a raise. They just want to feel respected. 1)To be heard without being talked over, 2)To be acknowledged without needing to prove their worth daily, 3)To feel safe, valued, and seen. The truth is, people don’t leave jobs just because they’re hard. They leave because they’re tired of being dismissed, ignored, or made to feel small. So let’s build better. Let’s normalize saying “thank you,” really listening, giving credit, and creating space for everyone at the table. Respect doesn’t cost anything, but it means everything. What does respect look like to you at work? I’d love to hear.
