You can refer 'A tutorial of the Wavelet Transform' by Chun-Lin and Liu for general introduction to basics of wavelet analysis. I am not sure but books by Ryan and Hramov et al.on signal processing and neuroscience may help. There are quite other books by the authors such as Olkhonen, Kahane, Mallat, Chui, Fugal and Walker those deal with applications in applied science.
