Here is an annoying question I would like to share with you guys:

Do you think that articles written by non-westerners are less likely to be cited based merely on the background of the researcher as reflected in his/her name or affiliation ?!

I noticed that many, not all, researchers from the Third World countries (with reservation to the term) are cited (mostly) by researchers from the same country category.
