Green Supply Chain is a huge topic. For a dissertation it is the best to research on a very small part of the topic but therefore you elaborte it very detailed.

Thank you for your reply. I do have my supervisor, but i am in the stage of personal research and i am questioning about everything, try to understand what requires more research. Supply Chain is a wide field, so i am just thinking to focus on one sector of it.

However GSCM is a broad field and I would advise you to select a topic such as green procurement or green manufacturing or green logistics. Recently we have implemented green procurement and green manufacturing programs in our organisation and gaining multiple benefits. Implementation of green programs require lot of efforts such as team work, management review, motivation, continuous training of employees, breaking silos within organisation and healthy competition to name a few. Since you are interested in green manufacturing, I would advise you to explore the soft dimensions influencing green manufacturing practices and measure impact on supply chain performance. I think at the masters level you might have roughly 6-12 month for dissertation, so extensive research may not be possible. you can take up an industry in any country say greece in your case. understand does that industry create significant environmental challenges with clear reason. then you may find out the factors (which may be contextually different from literature due to different factor like regulations, tech. used, demand from stake holders..finally develop a framework to suggest on how to go improve performance of GSCM..test using some organization data/inputs test your framework..that should do..
