Hi, I'm looking for a reliable PGP9.5 antibody that can visualize INEF in rat paw skin.

Most publications with good image on rat paw uses Ultraclone or AbD Serotec's rabbit anti-human antibody that is no longer available.

I've tried two antibodies so far:

1. Abcam PGP9.5 ab8189 Ms anti rat:

This one has poor sensitivity and hardly showed any fibre

2. Bio-rad PGP9.5 mouse anti-human (cross react to rat):

This one showed some fibres but the fibre count in a 14um-thick section is around 8-10 fibres/mm, which is much less compared to the published data.

Other possible antibodies include:

1. Thermo-fisher Lab Vision™ Protein Gene Product 9.5 (PGP9.5), Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

There is one published article in 2016 that uses this antibody to visualize INEF in the hind paw skin of SD rats, however this article didn't report the fibre count in fibre/mm but fibres per section. The data showed the fibre count of a section is around 8 fibres per 16um-thick section.

2. Zytomed Rb anti-human PGP9.5 antibody (516-3344):

My colleague says this antibody yields good fibre count in human skin tissue, and its specification showed it also cross react to rat. But it is not clear whether it works well in rat skin tissue. Does anyone have used the zytomed antibody in rat tissue before?
