Rather than exporting the file from SolidWorks to Abaqus, we can just create an interface (simultaneous) between SolidWorks and Abaqus.
Here's how.
To Start SolidWorks to Abaqus Interface
1) To install SolidWorks to Abaqus
Copy Abaqus plugin present in Abaqus SIMULIA_Abaqus_AI.AllOS.1-1 folder> unzip SolidWorks interface> copy Sw2AbqPlugin.dll and save to C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS (as Admin).
If not available, search in google for Sw2AbqPlugin_64.dll (hopefully will get in github portal). Copy Sw2AbqPlugin_64.dll to C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS (copy and paste as "administrator").
Then in this folder itself open SLDWORKS.exe (SLDWORKS application) as administrator.
in SolidWorks> open file, browse.
In browse, select add-in (*.dll) files option.
Now select Sw2AbqPlugin_64.dll. Ok
Now go to settings>options>add-ins>
and check both boxes of Sw2AbqPlugin_64. okay.
close. Now, when you open and check add-ins, "Abaqus" will be written there in add-ins.
2) Now open Abaqus....
Tools> customize > Toolbars> Create > Name the CAD Interface >
Go to functions option and "drag" an CAD Interface (in our case SolidWorks) to/ over the created toolbar.
SolidWorks Interface will open. Now select Auto-assign port> Enable.
Steps to start the interface:
First in Abaqus go to tools> Follow Step2, and bring CAD Interface to pallate (tool symbols above modelling zone).
Now start abaqus interface in solidworks. After creating the model click at the seperate abaqus icon interface above the tools> export to abaqus.
If the export to Abaqus option doesn't appear below: Go to Solidworks arrow> next to file......Tools> hover over Abaqus> export to Abaqus.
When any change in Solid works model to be transferred to Abaqus (simultaneously), just click at the Abaqus interface icon evrytime for direct and continous associative interface between SolidWorks and Abaqus.
