Regarding an ammonia production plant, which one would be the more inherently safe final gas purification technique, PSA or methanation?

The PSA's benefits seem to outweigh that of the methanation. Yet, the PSA is also separating the a significant portion of nitrogen required for ammonia synthesis. Nitrogen is available at a cost at the battery limits.
