There is a worldwide increasing use of REBOA. Especially in Scandinavian Countries, USA and JAPAN. Until now it seems that REBOA is not part of the standard procedures in German Trauma Centers. I would like to get in contact with other researchers to know who is doing REBOA in German. Who trained REBOA? What type of equipment do you use or are you planing to use?

REBOA is not yet done in trauma in Germany to my best of knoledge, but done in rAAA and probabely other emergencies as PPH (but we are still collecting data on this). Today there are three products for REBOA with 6-7Fr system and you can find much more info on the www.jevtm. as well as the upcomming sympsoium in June. The majority of groups doing significant number will be there to share and meet. All the best tal.

as you already know the BG-Klinikum Bergmanstrost use REBOA in the ER. At the moment we develop a programm to train our stuff using the prytimemedical RATT-REBOA-Simulator. We use the ER-REBOA catheter with a 7F system. Would be happy if we could work together on this important an interesting project.

this sounds very interesting. I will discuss this with my superiors. We trained alle Anesthesiologists working in the ER. The department for trauma surgery and the department for vascular surgery are VERY interested in this topic too. I used REBOA for rAAA and rTAAA in my former hospital (University hospital Düsseldorf). Now I want to implement it here in Münster.
Normally we use a 12F system, because size doesn't matter in rAAA and rTAAA (the minimum size for EVAR is 14F), but I'm interested in the 6F/7F device. Where you can buy it in Germany? I found only the company in US. Is there a german distributor?
