To produce an iron compound, I've seen some article used the above method mentioned in oil bath condition to gain the magnetic particle. Since I am in the electronics field, I need your advice on the actual substance obtained in this reaction.

Dear Muazzin, thank you for asking this interesting technical question. As you mentioned already, the question has to do with the preparation of magnetic particles, namely those of magnetite (Fe3O4). The answer to you question is as follows: Iron can form compounds in a variety of oxidation states ranging from –2 to +6. The most common oxidation states of iron, however, are +2 and +3. The most common iron oxides are FeO, Fe2O3 and Fe3O4. FeO contains only Fe2+, while Fe2O3 is the oxide of trivalent iron (Fe3+). Magnetite, Fe3O4, is special in that it contains both Fe2+ and Fe3+ in one compound. Thus to makes sense to start the preparation of magnetite nanoparticles with two precursors, one containing divalent iron (FeSO4), and one containing trivalent iron (FeCl3). This way you end up with the mixed oxidation state.

Hydrated Fe ( II ) , Fe ( III ) oxide . It is a kind of mixed oxide with fractional oxidation state . This mixed oxidation states generates a high spin mixed oxide with a calculative magnetic moment.
