Can anyone guide me about the mixing ratio of Polyol and MDI for the formation of Polyurethane foam(PUF) and Polyurethane coating liquid?
I did R&D at a company that manufactured PUF for seat cushions, mattresses, carpet underlay,etc. We used TDI rather than MDI. In any case, you really have not supplied enough information to be able to answer the question. You need to check the literature for a starting formulation to produce a foam similar to what you need. If you have done any research in this area, then you know there are a lot of ingredients in a PUF formulation that need to be in the correct ratio. Also, any idea what type of PUF you want to obtain? What density? Open cell or closed cell? will it include fillers? If yes, can they be inorganic that will leave ash, or do you need a low ash product? What about color and color stability.
